DESCRIPTION – S51 ADVENTURE AIRBAG PANTS
The S51 Adventure Airbag Pants are built for riders who don’t just ride weekends – they live in the saddle, and they want their legs to still work 10 years from now. This is high-safety adventure gear with an integrated lower-body airbag, designed for Mo’cycle Riders, Impact Sliders and Airbag Gliders who think beyond simple abrasion-only jeans.

The S51 is built on the same airbag platform as our award-winning Airbag Jeans – the motorcycle reviewer Ryan Kluftinger at FortNine described them as “The Safest Pants Ever Made, a fact” after an in-depth review. That design has since received “Safest Motorcycle Jeans 2025” and “Best Traffic Safety Innovation” awards from independent parties.

S51 takes that concept into a full adventure chassis with a built-in Mo’cycle® airbag and CE impact protectors, combined with AAA-rated Armalith® motorcycle denim. It is for riders who want to stay part of the Airbag Generation, and for the people who quietly worry about them when they ride. With this version, you get the full S51 safety setup straight out of the box – no extra components are required to benefit from integrated impact safety and abrasion resistance. It is recommended to keep extra CO₂ cartridges so you can reload after a deployment if the system remains safe to use.

COMFORT
The S51 is designed for long days in the saddle, on and off the bike, for riders who commute, tour and explore:

• 6 × ventilation ports – open them to release heat in traffic and on trails; if that’s still too warm, switch to Shorts Mode for maximum airflow.
• 2 × stretch panels – help you move naturally when you stand on the pegs, sit at highway speeds or walk around camp.
• Waist and leg-width adjustments – allow you to fine-tune the fit for different layers, boots and body types.
• Shoelace clips – help keep your pants anchored where they should be and reduce the chance of catching on pegs or levers.
• Large boot zippers – make it easier to get the legs over ADV / touring boots without a fight.
• 9 × pockets – so your essentials stay on you, not just in a backpack or tank bag.

Add 3 × detachable high-vis panels (add-on) to stand out more to other road users when traffic gets messy, and add the Suspenders (add-on) for extra all-day comfort on long-distance rides.

PROTECTION
Out of the box, the S51 Adventure Airbag Pants provide a combined system of impact safety and abrasion resistance when used with the included airbag and impact protectors:

• AAA-rated Armalith® motorcycle denim – a single-layer denim that looks and feels like quality jeans but is engineered for high-speed slides (CE EN 17092-2:2020).
• Integrated Mo’cycle® Airbag Module – CE-certified to PAC-002:12/2024 and EN 17092-4:2020 (Class A) when used as part of the certified garment system.
• Knox Micro-Lock impact protectors:
• 2 × knee/shin protectors – CE EN 1621-1:2012, K/L Type B, Level 2.
• 2 × hip protectors – CE EN 1621-1:2012, H Type A, Level 1.
• 2 × leg protectors – CE EN 1621-1:2012, H Type A, Level 1.

The pants include a built-in airbag zipper channel along the inner waist to house the Mo’cycle® Airbag. When the module is installed and the tether is correctly attached to the motorcycle, the system is armed.

If you separate from the bike with sufficient force in a crash scenario, the mechanical trigger activates the CO₂ cartridge and the airbag inflates, forming a pressurized air cushion around your lower back, hips, thighs and tailbone. The airbag is designed to work together with the impact protectors so that impact energy is managed by both air and armor, rather than being transmitted directly to the body.

We start production from the very beginning: spinning thread, preparing materials, and building the fabric that combines cotton with UHMWPE (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) fibers for extreme abrasion performance. Then comes the airbag manufacturing, assembly, testing and CE-related processes.

This is a multi-step build. We are not Amazon.

RELOAD & RIDE AGAIN

The Mo’cycle® airbag module is reusable, provided it remains structurally intact after a crash. The airbag itself is designed to withstand one real-world crash.

The CO₂ cartridge is the consumable part; If you have been in a high-speed crash, replace the complete airbag system. If the crash was a minor incident at low-speed with no visible damage to the airbag, cartridge area, fabric or stitching, carefully inspect it – test inflate with a spare cartridge and inspect the airbag while inflated as well. When in doubt, treat it as a high-speed crash and replace the full airbag system anyway.

Inspect the garment and airbag - Check that nothing is broken, torn or heavily abraded, test inflate and inspect as well.
Replace the spent CO₂ cartridge - Use a new cartridge of the correct size.

Re-arm the trigger - Follow the instructions for your model.
Clip back in and you are ready for the next ride.

DEPLOYMENT: It wraps your lower body in a powerful 360° airbag, firm enough to absorb impact, soft enough to give your body "the hug of safety", helping reduce violent hits, limit twisting, and create vital distance from the asphalt (especially for your knees) when everything happens at once. Mo’cycle designed and invented the lower-body airbag module. To manufacture it at the level a life-saving device demands, we partnered with Helite in France, a specialist airbag company with R&D, labs, manufacturing, and quality control based in Dijon, France.

Mo’cycle invention - Helite production: we own the design; Helite manufactures it for us.
Made in France & final quality control in Sweden: Helite finalizes the airbag module in France with quality controls before sending it to us in Sweden for final quality checks.
