PROTECTION/ SAFETY PERFORMANCE
Impact Backup V1 forms part of a CE-tested lower-body safety system when used with certified Mo’cycle® garments:

• Airbag protocol: PAC-002 (12/2024) with multi-size conformity (S–XL).
• Garment standard (outer shell): EN 17092-4:2020, Class A
(model-dependent, referring to the trousers/shorts that house the module).

Measured internal lab data (size L, 60CC CO₂, reference values):
• Inflation to working range: < 0.15 s (typical range ~0.13–0.18 s).
• Pressure at ~150 ms: Approximately 0.2 bar.
• Peak gauge pressure: Around 0.47 bar, with a smooth curve and no harsh overshoot.
• Hold time at working pressure: ≥ 5 seconds.
• Air volume: Approximately 17 L (size-dependent).

In practical terms, this means the module is engineered to inflate rapidly, reach a firm but controlled working pressure, and hold that pressure long enough to contribute to managing impact forces during the initial phase of a crash scenario, not just inflate briefly and dissipate.

When combined with compatible impact protectors (hip, knee, leg – depending on the garment) and an abrasion-resistant outer shell, the design aims to help reduce injury risk by spreading and managing impact energy across a larger area rather than letting it concentrate at a single point. Actual safety performance depends on many factors, including crash circumstances, speed, angle of impact, correct installation, correct tether adjustment and correct use of all components.

HOW THE MO’CYCLE® AIRBAG SYSTEM WORKS
The Mo’cycle® airbag is a fully mechanical safety system with no batteries, electronics, subscriptions or charging. It only needs three things from you: clip in, ride, and reload after a deployment.

CLIP IN BEFORE YOU RIDE
Each Mo’cycle® airbag garment (jeans, pants, shorts, vest or jacket) has a built-in trigger point. A dedicated tether connects that trigger to your motorcycle:

• One end of the tether stays permanently mounted to the bike.
• The other end of the tether clips to your Mo’cycle® airbag garment.
Clipping in becomes the same habit as fastening your helmet.

CRASH DETECTION – MECHANICAL “DEAD MAN’S SWITCH”
If you separate from the bike in a crash, the tether gets a strong, sudden pull. When the force is high enough (crash-level, not just a small tug), the mechanical trigger releases and activates the CO₂ cartridge inside the airbag module.

There is no GPS, gyro, app or subscription involved – just a robust mechanical “dead man’s switch” designed for real-world use.

INFLATION IN A FRACTION OF A SECOND
Once triggered, the cartridge empties into the airbag:
• Inflation time is under 0.15 seconds.
• Pressurized air bladder forms a firm, pressurized cushion around key impact zones.

Coverage depends on the garment you are wearing, for example:
• Jeans / pants / shorts – hips, thighs, tailbone and lumbar area.
• Vest / jacket – chest, ribs, back, spine and neck support (the Liam Vest helps stabilize the neck so the spine is better supported during an impact).

The airbag works together with traditional impact protectors (knee, shin, hip and similar) so impact energy is managed
through a combination of air and armor, instead of being transmitted directly into bone.

AFTER A DEPLOYMENT – RELOAD AND RIDE AGAIN
The Mo’cycle® airbag module is reusable, provided it remains structurally intact after a crash:

1. Inspect the garment and airbag – check that nothing is broken, torn or heavily abraded.
2. Replace the spent CO₂ cartridge – use a new cartridge of the correct size (60 cc / 100 cc, depending on model).
3. Re-arm the trigger – follow the instructions for your model.
4. Clip back in and you are ready for the next ride.

The airbag itself is designed to withstand real-world use; the CO₂ cartridge is the consumable part. If you have been in a high-speed crash, replace the complete airbag system. If the crash was minor and low-speed with no visible damage to the airbag, cartridge area, fabric or stitching, carefully inspect it – and when in doubt, treat it as a high-speed crash and replace the full airbag system anyway.

The same Mo’cycle® airbag module is designed to work across multiple Mo’cycle® garments in the V2 family (selected jeans, pants, shorts, vest and jackets).

That means:
• One airbag module you know and trust.
• Several outer garments for different seasons and riding styles.
• The same familiar safety system wherever you go.

TECH & SPECS – MO’CYCLE® AIRBAG MODULE IBV1
A reusable, mechanically triggered airbag engineered for blink-fast, lab-verified impact safety performance. When you clip in, the system is always armed – no batteries, no charging. Upon a crash-level tug, the module inflates in under 0.15 seconds, reaching approximately 0.2 bar at around 150 ms, then stabilizing at a protective working range (protocol reference around 250 mbar) with a steady hold of at least 5 seconds. Internal lab tests show a smooth, controlled pressure curve with a peak around 0.47 bar (size-dependent), and no harsh overshoot. Integrated impact protectors (such as hip and knee) work with the airbag to spread energy and shield the bladder from sharp points, creating
a double-layer safety system for real-world crashes.

• Garment standard: EN 17092-4:2020 (Class A) trousers (outer shell that houses the module).
