The Early Backer ADV Bundle is your “level up” kit for Mo’cycle® Adventure Pants & Shorts – a comfort, visibility and impact upgrade built for riders who actually use their gear hard. It combines CE-certified hip pads, leg pads, long knee & shin pads, the HiVis3X lower-leg visibility system and Mo’cycle® Suspenders to help your adventure setup feel safer, sit better and stand out more to “blind car drivers” – especially when fully loaded with airbag modules and protectors.

Clip the suspenders onto your Adventure Pants or Shorts, load hip, leg and knee/shin pads into the armor pockets, and add HiVis3X Panels to your lower legs when the conditions demand it. The result is an adventure configuration that feels lighter on your hips, more stable over long days and more visible in bad light – built for Mo’cycle Riders, Impact Sliders and the wider Airbag Generation.

Use the full Early Backer ADV setup: suspenders attached, hip pads and knee/shin pads in place, and a HiVis3X configuration matched to the conditions. Grey reflective panels for low-key daytime use, or yellow/red + grey for night and rain. Your airbag pants or shorts stay put, legs feel more supported and your lower legs stand out more in the eyeline of car drivers and truck mirrors.

Adventure touring and long-distance rides
On long days with luggage and full protection installed, let the suspenders carry part of the load from your hips to your shoulders so the waistband stops fighting gravity. Knee & shin pads and hip pads form a solid impact layer in the zones that most often hit first, while HiVis3X panels can be switched into “high-alert” mode (yellow/red combos) when weather or visibility gets worse.

Stealth days and off-bike time
If you want to stay low-key, your Adventure Pants & Shorts still work in “stealth mode” – all-black with no panels showing. You can remove HiVis3X in seconds and still enjoy the comfort of suspenders and the hidden safety of hip and knee/shin armor. Off the bike, the system is meant to feel like well-fitted gear, not a costume.

A NEW FEELING

This bundle changes how your adventure gear feels before it changes how it looks. The suspenders shift the weight of airbag module + cartridges + pads from your waistband to your shoulders, so your pants sit calmly where they should instead of sliding down as the day goes on. Hip pads and long knee/shin pads quietly turn “just pants” into a more serious lower-body platform, especially when combined with a Mo’cycle® airbag system.

HiVis3X Panels add something psychological as well as visual: at night, in tunnels or in heavy rain, you feel that your lower legs are doing more to announce your presence in the eyeline of other drivers. You still decide how loud or discreet you want to appear – stealth black, low-key reflective or full hi-vis – but you have three profiles in one system instead of a single, fixed look.

PROTECTION

The KNOX Micro-Lock® Hip Pads (Part 219) put certified impact armor over one of the most commonly injured zones in motorcycle crashes: the hip joint. In airbag-equipped garments, they sit between your body and the inflated airbag, helping to further absorb and diffuse energy that has already been spread by the air volume.

The KNOX Micro-Lock® Knee & Shin Pads (Part 49) cover the kneecap and upper shin with Level 2 impact performance, designed to stay in place during a slide and work with the Mo’cycle® airbag around the knees and thighs. Hit → pad takes first contact → force spreads into the airbag → potentially lower peak load on the knee compared to armor alone.

The KNOX Micro-Lock® Leg Pads (Part 219) cover the outer lower leg with Level 1 impact performance, sitting in the dedicated side pockets of the Mo’cycle® Adventure Airbag Pants and working together with the airbag and knee & shin pads to protect the tibia/fibula zone: hit → pad takes first contact on the outer leg → force spreads into the airbag and surrounding armor → potentially lower peak load on the bone compared to a single pad alone.

HiVis3X Panels are not impact protectors, but they are part of the “don’t get hit in the first place” equation – pulling visual focus towards your lower legs in the headlight beams and mirror lines of other vehicles. Actual visibility always depends on weather, background and rider positioning, but these panels are intended as one extra layer in your risk-reduction stack.

Suspenders help protection stay where it belongs: by stabilizing the waistband and carrying some of the load, they make it more likely that pants and armor remain correctly positioned if something goes wrong.

RELOAD & RIDE AGAIN

The Mo’cycle® airbag module is reusable, provided it remains structurally intact after a crash. The airbag itself is designed to withstand one real-world crash.

The CO₂ cartridge is the consumable part; If you have been in a high-speed crash, replace the complete airbag system. If the crash was a minor incident at low-speed with no visible damage to the airbag, cartridge area, fabric or stitching, carefully inspect it – test inflate with a spare cartridge and inspect the airbag while inflated as well. When in doubt, treat it as a high-speed crash and replace the full airbag system anyway.

Inspect the garment and airbag - Check that nothing is broken, torn or heavily abraded, test inflate and inspect as well.
Replace the spent CO₂ cartridge - Use a new cartridge of the correct size.

Re-arm the trigger - Follow the instructions for your model.
Clip back in and you are ready for the next ride.

Mo’cycle designed and invented the lower-body airbag module. To manufacture it at the level a life-saving device demands, we partnered with Helite in France, a specialist airbag company with R&D, labs, manufacturing, and quality control based in Dijon, France.

Mo’cycle invention - Helite production: we own the design; Helite manufactures it for us.
Made in France & final quality control in Sweden: Helite finalizes the airbag module in France with quality controls before sending it to us in Sweden for final quality checks.

The impact protectors help distribute impact energy across the airbag, so the force is spread out instead of concentrated on one point. All hi-vis panels are detachable and swappable, so you decide how visible you want to be: ride fully blacked-out with no panels, go low-key with the grey reflective option, or switch to hi-vis red or hi-vis yellow when you want maximum “blind car drivers” visibility.
