DESCRIPTION - CO₂ CARTRIDGE 60 CC
Mo’cycle® 60cc CO₂ Cartridge – for all Mo’cycle® lower-body airbags and Liam Airbag Vest in size S.
This is the official 60cc CO₂ cartridge specified for all Mo’cycle® airbag jeans, pants and shorts, as well as the smallest size of the Liam Airbag Vest. It is part of the mechanically triggered airbag system and is designed to provide the correct gas volume for those garments and vest size when used according to the instructions. For Mo’cycle Riders, Impact Sliders and the wider Airbag Generation, this is the small metal cylinder that decides whether your airbag actually has “lungs” when it needs to fire.

COMPATIBILITY
Use this 60cc cartridge for:
• All Mo’cycle® Airbag Jeans & Pants – all sizes
• Mo’cycle® Airbag Shorts based on the lower-body module
• Liam Airbag Vest – size S only

Do not use this 60cc cartridge for:
• Liam Airbag Vest sizes M, L, XL – these sizes require the 100cc CO₂ cartridge (sold separately).

Simple rule of thumb:
• Lower body (jeans/pants/shorts) → always 60cc
• Liam Vest → 60cc for size S, 100cc for sizes M–XL

Choosing the correct cartridge is part of the system thinking behind Mo’cycle: gas volume and pressure are matched to the airbag design so the bladder can reach its intended working range when it matters.

WHAT IT DOES
• Inflation source: Supplies the gas that inflates the Mo’cycle® airbag system in a very short time during a trigger event.
• Size-specific volume: Provides the gas volume and pressure range specified for all lower-body airbags and Liam size S when installed and used correctly.
• Single-use component: Designed for one deployment per cartridge; after activation, the cartridge must be replaced.
• Mechanical system: Works with the Mo’cycle® mechanical tether trigger – no batteries, no electronics, the cartridge is only activated when the system is mechanically triggered.

Without a fresh, correctly sized 60cc cartridge, your lower-body airbag or Liam (size S) is just smart fabric. With it, the system can actually do its job if you and the bike part ways.

GAS & SAFETY BASICS
• Gas type: Filled with compressed carbon dioxide (CO₂), a non-flammable gas under pressure (see CO₂ Safety Data Sheet on our website for further details).
• Handling: Do not heat, puncture, crush or attempt to refill the cartridge.
• Storage: Keep in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from high heat sources and direct sunlight (refer to the CO₂ Safety Data Sheet for recommended conditions).
• After deployment: The cartridge body becomes very cold; avoid direct skin contact with the metal immediately after use to reduce the risk of cold burns/frostbite.
• Children: Keep out of reach of children.

Treat the cartridge like any other safety-critical component: respect the pressure, follow the instructions and replace it after every deployment so your airbag backup is ready for the next ride.

FLYING WITH CO₂ CARTRIDGES
You can often fly with wearable airbag garments and small CO₂ cartridges, but this is regulated. According to international air-transport rules (IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, Table 2.3.A), small non-flammable gas cartridges in Division 2.2 used in personal safety devices (such as life vests and wearable airbags) may be allowed with airline approval. Typically, this means one device plus a limited number of spare cartridges per person.

To make airport handling smoother:
• Print documentation: Bring the onboard-flight CO₂ document from our website showing the relevant IATA table entry for small CO₂ cartridges in personal safety devices.
• Contact the airline: Inform your airline in advance that you are travelling with a motorcycle airbag garment that uses small CO₂ cartridges.
• Pack correctly: Carry the cartridges mounted in the garment or in their original packaging, with the mechanism secured so it cannot activate accidentally.
• Be prepared to show documents: Have the printed regulation extract ready if check-in staff or security has questions.
• Airline decision: The airline may need to inform the pilot-in-command where the cartridges are located. Final approval and conditions are always at the discretion of the carrier. Different airlines can interpret the rules slightly differently.

RELOAD & RIDE AGAIN

The Mo’cycle® airbag module is reusable, provided it remains structurally intact after a crash. The airbag itself is designed to withstand one real-world crash.

The CO₂ cartridge is the consumable part; If you have been in a high-speed crash, replace the complete airbag system. If the crash was a minor incident at low-speed with no visible damage to the airbag, cartridge area, fabric or stitching, carefully inspect it – test inflate with a spare cartridge and inspect the airbag while inflated as well. When in doubt, treat it as a high-speed crash and replace the full airbag system anyway.

Inspect the garment and airbag - Check that nothing is broken, torn or heavily abraded, test inflate and inspect as well.
Replace the spent CO₂ cartridge - Use a new cartridge of the correct size.

Re-arm the trigger - Follow the instructions for your model.
Clip back in and you are ready for the next ride.
