Our Journey

Investors & Awards

The development of the Airbag jeans has been funded by EU's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme as well as investors from TV show Dragon's Den (the Swedish version of Shark Tank, aired on SVT). The company received funding from three of the five "Dragon" investors in 2021 and in 2023 a fourth Dragon investor joined the venture.

Moses Shahrivar is the designer and inventor behind the airbag module and jeans garment, his mother Touran Shahrivar sewed the first airbag jeans prototype. The team has grown and today we are 7 people working together with our advisory board of investors. Karin O'Connor, Jacob De GeerShervin Razani, Jonas Svensson, Lena Apler via Dragon Invest AB .

This invention was recently recognized by the French government who awarded the Airbag jeans "Best traffic safety innovation award 2023" via "Sécurité Routiére".

The Story

What once began as leather-lined jeans in 2005, became kevlar-lined jeans and has now turned into armalith airbag-lined jeans. The journey of protecting the lower body against impact hits has taken 18 years since the founder Moses Shahrivar designed his first pair of motorcycle jeans. The third generation motorcycle jeans, the world's first Airbag jeans, finally solves the long-lasting impact problem for the lower body with Airbag technology.

The Mo'cycle® Airbag jeans represent a significant leap in motorcycle safety, a journey that aligns with the company's mission to provide wearable airbag protection for all. This innovation is a result of meticulous craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. Handmade in Italy and France, these jeans are not just protective gear but a fashion statement, blending style with safety. The use of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene in their construction sets them apart, offering unmatched durability and impact resistance.

Features

The design of the airbag jeans focuses on comprehensive protection, especially for the lower body, which is most vulnerable in motorcycle accidents. The airbags deploy within the blink of an eye in the event of a crash, covering critical areas like the tailbone, thighs, and notably, the spinal column's first bone. This feature is particularly crucial as it addresses the common and often fatal injuries associated with motorcycle accidents.

Mission

Moses Shahrivar, the visionary behind this innovation, has revolutionized motorcycle safety gear. His commitment to rider safety is evident in every aspect of the jeans' design, from the removable CE-rated knee protectors to the airbag, to the overall ergonomic fit. The Mo'cycle® Airbag jeans are more than just a product; they are a symbol of a safer future for motorcyclists, embodying the spirit of innovation and the relentless pursuit of protection. As the company continues to grow and evolve, its core mission remains steadfast: to equip riders with the best possible protection, merging the worlds of technology and fashion in a way that transforms personal safety.

Together we are building Airbag Inside Sweden AB, a fashion tech company with the mission to provide wearable airbag protection for all mankind. Starting with Mo'cycle® and motorcycle riders.
